For solo trumpet and piano, this piece challenges the advanced middle schooler or decent high school trumpeter and is perfect for solo and ensemble competitions or studio recitals. Technique is the biggest challenge but can certainly be mastered. Endurance is not much of an issue due to brevity and plenty of rests. The melodies are fun and interesting both to play and listen to. After the thematic exposition is a brief development, followed by a contrasting section and recapitulation.
