Beginning with a noble Baroque-style procession replete with optional timpani, the opening procession is perfect to accompany a colo guard or small group of award recipients to the stage. Once in place, the John Williams-esque fanfare kicks into full force for a chilling effect of honor and majesty. This is a perfect way to open a concert, to honor VIPs at an awards ceremony, graduation, retirement, etc. For timing purposes, a pre-ceremony or pre-concert rehearsal is advisable with those who join the performers on stage. For convenience, cuts may be made to shorten the fanfare. Every gigging brass quintet must have this in their books!
