Cannonball Jubilee (4 Trumpets), Dr. Daniel Thrower

Composed by Dr. Daniel Thrower. Duration: 1:45. "Cannonball Jubilee" was composed in 2016 for the 20th anniversary of Cannonball Musical Instruments, for which Dr. Thrower is a proud performing artist. It was premiered at the 2018 International Trumpet Guild Conference in the sight-reading session of new music and was later performed at an International Music Festival in Brazil. Musically, during an intensely eomplex but brief development section, take note of the cleverly borrowed motif from Alexander Goedicke's "Concert Etude", a standard in the solo trumpet repertoire. This work is incredibly fun to work up, and though technically demanding, no part is too taxing on endurance.
