Academic Fanfare, Dr. Daniel Thrower

This energetic, musically satisfying, one-minute fanfare was composed in 2004 during Daniel Thrower's time serving as professor of trumpet at Brigham Young University-Idaho. It was appropriately premiered by the BYU-I Faculty Brass Quintet. "Academic Fanfare" became the theme tune for the Phoenix Chamber Brass and opened every PCB performance for a number of years. Aside from its use with BYU-I and PCB as a concert opener, the audience-grabbing nature of "Academic Fanfare" is extremely effective for announcing anything of importance, such as ceremonial openers, graduations, inaugurations, award ceremonies, etc.
