This is an E-flat (conical bore) shepherd’s crook cornet made of silver-plated brass with split (2) spit keys. It has elaborate engraving on the bell bearing the name of J. Howard Foote. This instrument is in used condition with a number of minor surface scratches and dings, including a noticeable dent on the shepherd's crook (see photos). There is also a patch on the top edge of the bell. Valves and slides are all in working condition. No serial number.
