This extraordinarily difficult showpiece displays about 500 notes from the solo trumpet in just over a minute and works well to close the first half of a concert, or an an encore piece at a quintet recital or concert. The fiery technique required by the soloist is impressive, guaranteed to draw an animated response from an already enthused audience! Caution: it requires focused effort to work up.
