This beautiful solo depicts the Australian folksong by Francis McNamara, who was convicted in 1832 and sentenced to prison. His poem depicts the horrible conditions at the Moreton Bay prison under the command of the infamous Patrick Logan, and the joy felt by the prisoners when Logan was killed by local Aborigines. A great programatic work for any recital! Difficulty Level: III- Duration: 2:45 B-flat trumpet and piano
