  • Some lacquer wear on the slide at contact points, and a little around edge of bell flare
  • Some small dents in the F attachment tuning slide
  • A few dings in the bell flare and bottom of slide near water key
  • Inner tubes in good conditon

Instrument Conditions

  • Mint Condition: Is Like New. No dings, dents, or fading at contact points. Plating or lacquer is 100%. Our definition of mint is of the highest standards and we mean it could pass as new.
  • Excellent Condition: shows only minor signs of use (may show slight fading at contact points and light surface scratches). May have very minor mute dents.
  • Very Good Condition: shows signs of use. May have some very minor dents (usually mute dings).
  • Good Condition: shows signs of use. May have some dents that don’t affect the performance of the instrument are present.
  • Average Condition: in good playing condition, but shows signs of use. Multiple dents that don’t affect the performance of the instrument may be present.
  • Poor Condition: Seen heavy wear. May be in need of dent work.
  • Rough condition: not necessarily in playing condition. Has seen heavy wear and possible abuse or misuse. Severe dents that may be considered to affect the performance of the instrument may be present.

These descriptions are our opinion and very subjective. We see hundreds of horns a year and want to be as fair as possible in our descriptions because we want the customer to know exactly what they are purchasing.
