Bach Stradivarius Bb cornet in lacquer finish, 37 bell, serial number 2477x9 (the fifth numeral of the serial number appears not to have been stamped when the instrument was made). Light scratches to the finish; a deeper scratch inside the bell. Finish is worn around the bell bow and in other various places, but is 90% intact.

Bach 239 C trumpet, medium-large bore, standard 25C leadpipe. Serial number 284152. Silver plate is 100%. The horn is in excellent condition. It's had a valve alignment, though we aren't sure by whom. With a medium-bodied timbre and weight of tone, this is a good solo or quintet C trumpet; plays well in-tune, nice clear tone.

Light scratches throughout, solder marks on 1st valve slide, a few small dents. There are a few small imperfections in the smoothness of the metal. Inner bell is gold plated.

It can truly be used for every type of playing, from symphonic to commercial music, chamber to classical solo work, big band to small group jazz. It is the next step heavier than the XLT, with a slightly more concentrated sound and great projection, especially in average to good acoustic environments. This model is available as an LT or LTJ; this version, the LTJ, is configured mostly for jazz applications. If you are looking for a lightweight Monette Bb trumpet that does everything better than production trumpets, this is probably it.
