Orchestral Excerpts for Trumpet |
Hickman Music Editions Essential Orchestral Trumpet Excerpts The Hickman Music Editions are the most thorough and comprehensive, as well as the most affordable collection of orchestral excerpt books ever compiled for the trumpet. These books contain more study material for all trumpets in each work than previously found in other excerpt books. They have been proofread carefully for the highest degree of notation accuracy and provide a separate stave for each trumpet part. Also included are historical listings of principal trumpet and cornet players in major orchestras around the world, and current trumpet section rosters. A significant bibliography of articles concerning orchestral trumpeters, trumpet sections, and trumpet-related topics is also provided. Each volume is 72+ pages.
The Orchestra Musician's CD-ROM Library for Trumpet The Orchestra Musician's CD-ROM Library is an unprecedented collection of .pdf files of the entire trumpet parts---not just sections and excerpts---of hundreds of orchestral works. If these parts were purchased separately, this collection would easily cost $500 or more. Works are viewable and printable on either PC or Mac and employ Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is included on the CD.
International Music Company Excerpts, ed. Bartold and Voisin The International books are the classic collection of orchestral excerpts, used for decades in trumpet studios around the world. Volumes I through V were compiled and edited by Gabriel Bartold, who performed with the National Symphony Orchestra 1942-1943, Kansas City Philharmonic 1943-1948, Houston Symphony 1948-1949, and San Diego Symphony Orchestra 1949-1958; volumes VI through X were compiled and edited by Roger Voisin, principal trumpeter with the Boston Symphony from 1952-1973 and renowned professor at the New England Conservatory. |
