Schilke Trombones

Although the Schilke company has previously built a handful of trombones, the ST20 is the first full production line, designed and built from the Schilke parts entirely within the Melrose Park, IL manufacturing facility. Designed around an Axial Flow valve with stainless steel rotor, the ST20 tenor trombones feature .547" large bore, 8 1/2" hand-hammered bells, interchangeable leadpipes, adjustable wood grain thumb rest, nickel-silver chrome-plated inner slide tubes, and yellow brass outer slide tubes with nickel oversleeves. Schilke Trombones are custom-built by master craftsmen with the same attention to detail and exacting standards as a small custom maker.

The completely redesigned Schilke ST21 offers a fixed bell configuration with a Schilke designed and built oversized rotary valve. This new model creates a vibrant tone with outstanding projection and clarity. The ST21 is also offered with a Hagmaan valve. Both models offer yellow brass or a gold brass bell choice with a standard wide slide configuration. A narrow slide can be ordered as an optional choice. All ST21 trombones include a newly designed Schilke trombone case. This case includes built-in music pocket, should strap and mouthpiece pouch.
